Come along and enjoy a day of Cardmaking and helping a good cause, For the past four years i have been collecting hand made christmas cards from card makers around australia to send overseas to Australian Defence Forces so they have beautiful christmas cards to send home to their families.

TRACEY'S CROCHET DOILY HANKERCHIEF VINTAGE CARD.

Tadah, it has been several months in the workings, actually could even have been

longer. When stampin' up! launched their corner and matching border scallop trim punches, I decided

once i could master the art of using the punches perfectly, that they reminded me of crochet doilies, adding a bit of Big Shot textured impressions and wellah i had lace crochet doiling looking card stock. Ok, so mastered that, then thought what do i do with it. Make a card. Well here it is.

At this stage the inside of the card, the making and folds are confidential, there are lots of hidden pockets and folds, not too mention the roses. But rest assured all of the card is made 100% with Stampin' Up! punches and products.

It's that time of year to kick off again.
Our Annual Christmas cards for diggers campaign started on June 1st, with the first lot of cards already arrived. Thank you Pat in Strathmore VIC for being the first this year to kick us off.

Each year karen and I have been collecting hand made christmas cards and mothers day cards to send overseas for our troops to write on and send home to their loved ones. Last christmas all of our wonderful card making friends from around australia managed to make and send 4,200 christmas cards and 1,500 mothers day cards to ALL the overseas regions that our diggers are serving in and this was a magnificant achievement for us all.
WOOHOO THANK YOU EVERYONE.

Come along and help make cards for diggers, all materials will be supplied and the entry is to bring along a plate of yummies. There will be demonstrators there teaching for FREE christmas card making techniques, ready made packs for you to assemble, and of course plenty of product for you to create on your own. To ensure that we have plenty of adhesives and dimensionals it would help if you could please bring yours along with you, and of course you are welcome to bring along any supplies and friends that you would like to as well.
The venue TBC however it is just 2 minutes in of the F3 and only a short 30 minutes north of Sydney and South of Newcastle. Last year many of our friends held card making days similar to the above so this year i thought if you would all like to get a list together with the venue, date, time and contact details together i will have a list on the top 50+ and our blogs for interested people to attend. So email me your cards for troops days to add to the list.

STAMPIN' UP! FUNDRAISER TO HELP NEW ZEALAND EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS & CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR OUR AUSSIE DIGGERS IN COMBAT ZONES

Come along and help fundraise for Victims of the New Zealand Earthquake.

The Stampin'Up! Acute Punches team are combining their Annual Christmas card making event this year with fund raising for the NZ victims of the earthquake.

IT WILL BE HELD AT OURIMBAH RSL ON 3rd OCTOBER 2010 10am - 5pm

COST $40.00 pp

Cost include: christmas card making all day, 3 course buffet lunch, tea and coffee, morning tea and nibbles, all card making supplies, Lucky door prizes, fun games, prizes and a raffle.

What you will need to bring:

Your scissors, paper trimmer, punches and adhesives clearly marked with your name.

How it will work:

All monies raised on the day will be donated to card makers and or demonstrators in new Zealand through our australian head office and new zealand office.

You get to make as many christmas cards during the course of the day as possible, the majority of your cards we would like you to donate to our australian troops that are deployed in combat regions throughout the world so that they may send them home for their families for christmas and of course you are welcome to take home some of your cards to start off your own stash for this year.

WE HAVE SET OUR TARGET TO MAKE 1,000 CHRISTMAS CARDS, THERE ARE CURRENTLY 3,700 ARMED FORCES PERSONAL IN PEACE KEEPING MISSIONS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

All cards made will be taken to sydney by me to Karen Cumming who will deliver them to the Army barracks at holsworthy to deploy out to our diggers overseas in time for christmas.

STAMPIN' UP! ACUTE PUNCHES WILL BE HOSTING A STAMP CAMP FOR SCRAPBOOKERS, CARD MAKERS AND PAPER CRAFT ADDICTS ON NOVEMBER 7th 2010 AT OURIMBAH ON THE CENTRAL COAST OF NEW SOUTH WALES.

Come along for a full day of crafting, loads of fun and friendship.

The day will begin at 9am and finish at 7.30pm, cramped pack with scrapbooking, cardmaking, and 3 D projects. Book in and Kit bag pickup, start from 8.30am.

It’s true when they say that a little goes a long way, and I’m here to tell you about how a simple purchase of some fun -filled paper craft tutorials can give freedom to a little boy!
Hudson is 2 ½ but unlike most children his age, he has had a tough little life! Doctors realised he had an incomplete brain before he was born and as a newborn he was discovered to be legally blind. Hudson has recently been diagnosed with both Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy! His mobility has been hindered severely by his disabilities, however his family and friends wish nothing more than to give him the chance to get moving on his own. Hudson needs a special Wheelchair/Walker, called a Kid Walker. This device will help get him mobile, allow him to play with his brother and sister, interact with other children his own age and give him independence in his day to day life!
This is where the stamping world really comes into play! When a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are asked for help they come to the rescue, ink and paper in hand, to work miracles. This is what has happened around Hudson over the last few months. First with his mum’s direct team, and then spreading out across Australia and New Zealand and over in to the US, the UK and Canada! His story has touched so many people so its time to share it with you all!
There is a HUGE online stamping event taking place, called Helping Hudson -A Wheely Great Cause! The organisers have been working really hard, securing support, tutorials and donations to get this event underway. There are going to be three weeks of stamping fun for you to join in – come back as often as you can, there will always be lots more to see, do and learn. Hi ladies, well we are well on our way to collecting cards for all australian services overseas for christmas this year, and they are starting to roll in. We are aiming for 1,000 cards this year a big call i know, but i know that we can do it, if we each set aside 10mins a week to make one each a week, and aimed for the next 10 weeks, i know we can do it.
